Women in Agribusiness names 28 scholarship recipients for 2026 summit
The 2026 program, in its 14th year, will support recipients with access to summit events in New Orleans from Sept. 22-24, and more than 50 applications were submitted for the cycle.
World Grain reports that 28 students were selected for the Women in Agribusiness (WIA) student scholarship, with each recipient receiving a three-day pass to the 2026 WIA summit.
Recipients will be able to attend dedicated student breakfasts, lunches and workshops, along with entry to all receptions and special events during the Sept. 22-24 summit in New Orleans, Louisiana.
World Grain said the scholarship program is in its 14th year and has supported more than 450 young women in agriculture, backed by over $1.4 million in cumulative sponsorship funding. For the 2026 cycle, the outlet added that more than 50 applications were received, with selection based on a resume, application materials and a personal statement about career goals.
The scholarship was made possible through sponsors including AgReserves, Land O’Lakes, Ardent Mills, Manulife Investment Management, Bunge, Nuveen Natural Capital, Cargill, CF Industries, Syngenta, CHS, and others, according to World Grain. Separate coverage noted that Green Acres Milling will begin operating an oat mill with production capacity of 39,420 tonnes, or 869,062 cwts, of finished oat products per year.
