Blue Moon Metals reports higher-grade tungsten intervals at Springer

The company said its re-assay drilling found a 7 metre interval at 1.28% WO3 from 160 metres, and it is working toward restarting the Springer mine and mill in Q4 2027.

Blue Moon Metals said new re-assay results from its Springer tungsten project in Nevada validate the quality and scale of the broader mineralized system, with the company reporting that its stock rose in early trading. The company said it has completed about 64% of its 18,000 metre relogging campaign.

Among the reported highlights, surface drillhole NM-13 confirmed a 7 metre interval grading 1.28% WO3 and 0.01% Mo from 160 metres. Surface drillhole NM-44 returned 24.25 metres grading 0.53% WO3 and 0.12% Mo, as the firm noted the broader sampling approach could capture mineralization not covered by selective historical assaying.

Blue Moon said it is targeting a restart of the Springer mine and mill in the fourth quarter of 2027, with relogging needed because historical sampling covered only 5% of available core and was limited to tungsten assays. The company also said the US Bureau of Land Management approved new exploration drilling on 13 pads on public land, a step it said is essential to begin a 67,000-metre diamond drilling campaign.

The note cited Scotiabank analyst Eric Winmill calling the results a mild positive, pointing to multiple higher-grade intervals supporting continuity within the Springer skarn system. Blue Moon Vice-President of Exploration Theodore Veligrakis said the historical core re-assay program is encouraging and that higher-grade intervals show potential for grade continuity across the wider tungsten system.
