Brooklyn Navy Yard launches third Yard Opportunity Shop rotation
The three-month Yard Opportunity Shop rotations in Building 92 give small minority- and women-owned businesses a chance to promote products and test new concepts with the local community.
The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) announced the third rotation of small businesses at its Yard Opportunity Shop storefront, part of its Yard Opportunity Shop partnership with Made in NYC Bodega.
Now entering its third season, the Yard Opportunity Shop will bring Doosra, Gracie Baked, Live Loud Foods and Oso Cacao together under one roof at Building 92, with the rotation set for a three-month run.
BNYDC said the Yard Opportunity Shop rotations are designed to give small minority-and-women-owned businesses, or MWBEs, the chance to promote their products, test new concepts, and directly engage with the Brooklyn community.
In a statement, Lindsay Greene, BNYDC president and CEO, said the goal is to keep the Navy Yard as a place where local entrepreneurship and food innovation can continue to grow.
