Bunge to process BASF InVigor Gold canola seed
The companies say InVigor Gold is built for hotter, drier conditions and can be delivered directly or co-mingled with traditional black-seed canola for processing.
Bunge Global SA will process BASF’s InVigor Gold canola seed, a Brassica juncea hybrid that BASF says is designed to perform in hotter, drier environments and in lower-organic-matter soils, the companies announced Sept. 22.
BASF said InVigor Gold meets canola-quality standards as affirmed by the Federal Grain Inspection Service, and it can be delivered directly or co-mingled with traditional black-seed canola for processing. Bunge plans to start with its Warden, Washington facility.
Bunge said it expects the processing and market access to support grower confidence as canola production expands, highlighting its oilseed processing capabilities as a pathway from farm to market.
BASF introduced InVigor Gold canola seed in 2025, and in June it unveiled InVigor Gold L322, the first hybrid in the portfolio, with initial commercial availability planned for growers in Montana, North Dakota, and Washington starting in 2027.
