Expedia Group expands marketing tie-up with Redion starting 2026
The collaboration is expected to close in the second half of 2026 and will roll out co-branded editorial and on-platform experiences across Expedia Group brands beginning in Q3 2026.
Expedia Group announced a marketing collaboration with Redion, bringing the travel insurance and assistance brand into Expedia Group Advertising as a dedicated partner, the company said. Coverager reported the move marks the first time Redion has joined Expedia Group Advertising.
Redion, previously known as Europ Assistance worldwide and Generali Global Assistance in the U.S., has provided travel protection to Expedia Group customers for 15 years. Under the new arrangement, the parties said the relationship will shift beyond product distribution into a strategic advertising alliance that includes co-branded editorial, on-platform experiences, and targeted activations.
The rollout across Expedia Group brands is scheduled to begin in Q3 2026, according to the announcement. Expedia Group also said the transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
Expedia Group Vice President of Business Development Jennifer Andre said the partnership is designed to bring travel protection into the journey earlier, while Redion CEO Virginie Babinet described the tie-up as a defining moment as the Redion brand is introduced to travelers.
