Granovit to acquire utro Fikovit in Swiss feed consolidation

utro Fikovit’s Emmenbrücke feed mill is set to close in October, with production moved to Granovit’s Kaiseraugst facility.

World Grain reports that Granovit AG will acquire utro Fikovit AG in a deal structured as a partnership that will proceed under the Granovit name.

The companies did not disclose financial terms. As part of the combination, utro Fikovit’s feed mill in Emmenbrücke will close in October, with feed production consolidated at Granovit’s Kaiseraugst facility.

The privately owned firms said the move is intended to leverage synergies, pool expertise, and strengthen efficiency and competitiveness, while no personnel changes are planned.

According to World Grain, utro Fikovit produces feeds for livestock including pigs, cattle, horses, sheep, rabbits and poultry, as well as mineral products, and Josef Fischer will join Granovit’s board and continue in day-to-day operations.
