Liberty Mutual Investments leads preferred investment in Mission Critical Group

The deal supports Mission Critical Group’s continued expansion, and Liberty Mutual Investments said it is driven by growing demand for data centers and power infrastructure.

Liberty Mutual Investments led a preferred investment in Mission Critical Group, an electrical infrastructure provider serving data centers, manufacturing plants, and energy facilities, according to Coverager.

In addition to Liberty Mutual Investments, Invesco Senior Secured Management, Aventail Capital Group, and Brigade Capital Management participated in the investment, though the amount was not disclosed.

Mission Critical Group, founded in 2023 and headquartered in McKinney, Texas, designs, manufactures, and services equipment including switchgear, transformers, modular power units, and backup power systems, and it operates more than 18 manufacturing facilities in the United States.

Coverager also notes Liberty Mutual Investments’ Energy and Infrastructure team cited expanding demand for data centers and power infrastructure as key reasons for the transaction, and said the investment will back continued expansion of the firm’s operations, alongside potential collaboration on other opportunities sourced through Square Nine’s platform.
