Marsh launches AI platform to streamline London insurance placements

Broker WorkBench is designed to help brokers match placement requests, negotiate terms, and bind contracts, with suggested placements still subject to Marsh broker approval.

Marsh has launched Broker WorkBench, an AI-powered platform aimed at streamlining how insurance placements are handled in the London market. Developed by Marsh Risk’s UK Specialty team, the platform is built to support brokers throughout the placement workflow, including matching and sending placement requests, negotiating terms, and binding contracts.

The platform is intended to work across multiple placement routes, including lead markets, digital followers, and pre-arranged follow-form insurance capacity. Marsh said recommended placements generated by Broker WorkBench will continue to be approved by Marsh brokers.

Marsh also positioned the launch as an investment in its AI and technology capabilities, saying the tool is meant to improve client outcomes in an increasingly complex risk environment. The company added that it aims to strengthen efficiency and the broker-client relationship by providing data-driven insights.

Broker WorkBench includes an exchange capability that can provide up to $10 billion in property capacity on a single-placement basis for the global exposures of U.S.-domiciled companies. Marsh President, Specialty at Marsh Risk Andrew George said the platform will help brokers spend more time delivering tailored insurance solutions.
