Nonprofit Coffee TAB opens at Vulcan’s 23rd & Jackson project in Seattle

The coffee shop replaces a Starbucks that closed in 2022 at the 23rd and Jackson location.

Connect Commercial Real Estate outlet ConnectCRE says a new coffee shop, Coffee TAB, has opened at the Vulcan Real Estate development in Seattle’s Central District at 23rd and Jackson.

Coffee TAB is a nonprofit that operates a barista training program and hires apprentices. The space previously housed a Starbucks that closed in 2022, and the nonprofit also runs locations in Pioneer Square and Belltown.

The development is known as Jackson Apartments, featuring two sustainable, mixed-income apartment buildings divided by a wide-open green space, plus a 12,000 square-foot plaza.

ConnectCRE also notes that a Timberlane Partners and PCCP joint venture paid $173 million for the apartments in January, with the seven-story property delivering 532 apartment homes and 46,000 square feet of retail space.
