Cathie Wood calls SpaceX stock a potential deep-value opportunity
Wood pointed to Starship revenue projections tied to 10,000 flights per year by 2030, arguing SpaceX’s June 2026 IPO valuation could look different in hindsight.
Cathie Wood, founder of Ark Invest, said SpaceX stock could prove to be a deep-value opportunity as investors look past the company’s rocket business toward broader technology and space-economy applications, according to Yahoo Finance.
Wood highlighted her view of Starship’s revenue potential, saying each Starship launch could generate as much as $1 billion and that CEO Elon Musk’s goal of 10,000 flights per year by 2030 could imply a potential $10 trillion revenue opportunity.
She linked that long-range outlook to SpaceX’s June 2026 IPO, which Yahoo Finance said pushed the company into the ranks of the world’s most valuable publicly traded companies by market capitalization, with the article citing a $1.77 trillion IPO valuation.
While noting that SPCX shares have given up some ground since the debut, the piece said Wood is not dismissing the company’s long-term prospects, citing satellite connectivity, AI, and future space-based applications as growth drivers.
