Douglas Egesa named Regional Director for Prevensure Re in Sub-Saharan Africa

Prevensure Group said Egesa previously held senior roles at Continental Reinsurance and served as Africa regional representative for Kuwait Reinsurance in Kenya.

Prevensure Group appointed Douglas Egesa as Regional Director for Prevensure Re covering Sub-Saharan Africa, the reinsurance broker and risk solutions provider said.

Egesa most recently served as Regional Representative for Africa at Kuwait Reinsurance Company K.S.C.P., based in Kenya. Before that, he spent four years at Continental Reinsurance in senior roles spanning underwriting and claims, including Underwriting Manager and Assistant Manager.

His background also includes work as a Facultative Energy Underwriter for Misr Insurance Company, based in Dubai International Financial Centre, and earlier experience at Trust Re for nearly six years in faculties and underwriting support for property and engineering business across Africa.

In a statement, Prevensure said it is delighted to welcome Egesa to Prevensure Re and expects him to bring expertise and value to the team.
