Trump says Super Intelligence will be a key topic with Xi

US President Donald Trump said Super Intelligence will be a major topic of discussion in his meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, posting the comments to Truth.Social ahead of the encounter, according to FXStreet.

FXStreet said the post did not trigger an immediate move in the US Dollar. As of the time of writing, the US Dollar Index, or DXY, was stable at about 101.23.

The piece also recapped the US China trade conflict, noting that tariffs and retaliatory measures began in 2018, were partially addressed by the Phase One trade deal in January 2020, and later remained in place after President Joe Biden took office.

FXStreet added that Trump has called for renewed tariff pressure, pledging 60.0% tariffs on China during the 2024 campaign, and said the potential return of tit for tat policies could disrupt supply chains and affect inflation expectations.
