Beazley adds cyber cover for AI use, Huntersure launches media E&O
Beazley’s cyber coverage and Huntersure’s media errors and omissions program both target risks created by how businesses use AI and by media operations, with Huntersure offering limits up to $5 million.
Beazley announced new cyber insurance cover designed to help businesses manage risks that can arise from using AI within their own operations, following its earlier confirmation of an affirmative AI cyber cover, according to Insurance Journal.
The outlet also reported that Huntersure, a Starwind Specialty underwriting business, launched a media errors and omissions program that expands professional liability offerings for media and entertainment risks, including dedicated primary and excess solutions.
Huntersure’s program provides up to $5 million in limits and is designed for a range of media organizations and professionals, including broadcasters, publishers, advertising agencies, authors, sports organizations, and producers, with coverage that can be tailored to an insured’s media content and operations.
Insurance Journal said the media E&O coverage can be written on an occurrence or claims-made primary basis and includes excess media E&O, with the option to consider blended E&O and cyber excess for media-driven risks, plus open peril and duty to defend language with 100% defense cost allocation.
