Chubb appoints Sean Ringsted chief scientist and EVP

The role takes effect immediately and puts Ringsted in charge of the insurer’s global AI, data, and analytics strategy.

Chubb Limited named Sean Ringsted chief scientist and executive vice president at Chubb Group, effective immediately, the company said.

According to Risk & Insurance, the appointment places Ringsted at the helm of Chubb’s artificial intelligence, data, and analytics strategy worldwide.

Risk & Insurance added that Evan Greenberg, chairman and CEO of Chubb Group, said the move underscores the company’s focus on AI and data initiatives within its broader strategy.

The outlet also reported that Ringsted has more than three decades of experience at Chubb and ACE Group, including a recent role as executive vice president and chief digital business officer, where he led AI efforts globally and helped drive profitable growth for Chubb’s digital business unit.
