KSE to spend $135 million to renovate Ball Arena in Denver
Kroenke Sports & Entertainment plans a mixed-use development on parts of Ball Arena’s outdoor parking lots, adding features such as a 721-foot plaza and new club spaces.
Kroenke Sports & Entertainment has committed to spending $135 million to renovate Ball Arena, the home arena for the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche, according to ConnectCRE citing reporting from the Denver Business Journal.
The planned upgrades include a large glass façade, new escalators, a new team shop, point-of-sale technology, and a widening of arena concourses to reduce congestion, ConnectCRE said.
KSE also plans three new club spaces, including one with access to 100-level seating, and it is using Perkins & Will as the project’s architect.
In addition, the company unveiled plans for a mixed-use project that repurposes some of the outdoor parking lots, with a 721-foot-long plaza and an outdoor gathering area in the arena’s southeast area.
