Nichols Cauley expands group benefits with LaRocco acquisition
The LaRocco Companies, headquartered in Norcross, Georgia, brings a 46-year focus on employee benefits and employer compliance to Nichols Cauley's platform.
Nichols Cauley, a financial services company based in Atlanta, Georgia, is leaning into group benefits as a growth pillar, arguing that market uncertainty strengthens the case for the broker model. In an interview with Insurance Business Benefits, CEO Alan Whitman said the firm is expanding a scaled group benefits capability alongside its integrated financial services platform. Nichols Cauley is pursuing Southeast expansion that has already included adding an employee benefits brokerage to its platform, with more deals in progress, he said.
The firm’s benefits offering was deepened by its September 2026 acquisition of The LaRocco Companies, a privately owned employee benefits brokerage and advisory firm headquartered in Norcross, Georgia. Nichols Cauley said LaRocco was founded in 1980 by brothers Andrew and Jeffrey LaRocco and spent 46 years focused exclusively on employee benefits.
