Pete Hegseth discloses Bitcoin holdings in a Coinbase wallet
The Defense Secretary’s disclosure lists two Bitcoin entries in a single Coinbase wallet, totaling a range of about $16,000 to $65,000, labeled as capital gains.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth holds Bitcoin in a Coinbase wallet, according to his latest annual financial disclosure covering 2025, which was released by the Office of Government Ethics, Decrypt reported.
The filing shows the Bitcoin under “other assets and income” as two separate entries inside the same Coinbase wallet, one valued between $15,001 and $50,000 and the other between $1,001 and $15,000, putting the combined holding at roughly $16,000 to $65,000.
The disclosure also records the income type for both entries as capital gains, and it does not list either holding in the transactions section that covers purchases and sales above $1,000 during the reporting period.
