Researchers weigh worst-case AI scenarios and debate their plausibility
Insurance Journal reports that AI researchers have long warned about extreme ways advanced systems could cause catastrophic outcomes, including designing an unstoppable disease, triggering nuclear war, or turning the world into paper clip factories.
