Two XRPL pools drive most of reported AMM volume without frequent trades
XRPL.to data for Sept. 24 shows 2.8 billion in seven-day AMM volume, with only 185 trades across the XPM/TIX and RLUSD/TIX pools in the rolling window.
CryptoSlate reports that two pools on the XRP Ledger accounted for 97.24% of the platform’s seven-day automated market maker volume, according to XRPL.to’s Sept. 24 feed. The pools exchange TIX for other issued tokens, and neither pool contains XRP, meaning the reported volume largely reflects the provider’s volume measure rather than a clear picture of independent end-user activity.
XRPL.to lists a 2.82069 billion seven-day volume total, including 1.68 billion for XPM/TIX and over 1 billion for RLUSD/TIX. In the rolling seven-day window, it counted 69 XPM/TIX trades and 116 RLUSD/TIX trades, and neither pool had recorded a trade in the latest 24 hours as of the Sept. 24 check.
CryptoSlate also notes that while the trade counts indicate fills occurred, they do not show how many independent traders participated or the size of each fill in dollar terms. The piece adds that routed payments can pass through multiple pools, so pool-level counts should not be interpreted as separate end-to-end customer payments.
A check of the pool accounts found the XPM/TIX pool holds about 1,545 XPM and 9.69 million TIX in reserves, while the RLUSD/TIX pool account showed only trace amounts of both assets and zero XRP. The article states that the near-empty account limits what can be inferred from the high reported volume.
