ERGO Group names Guy Goldstein Chief AI Officer role effective Oct 2026
The newly created post will extend his AI mandate across ERGO Group, alongside his current CEO role at ERGO NEXT in the United States.
ERGO Group AG, the primary insurance subsidiary of Munich Re, has appointed Guy Goldstein to a newly created Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO) role on its Management Board, effective October 1, 2026, according to Reinsurance News.
In the CAIO role, Goldstein will be responsible for the systematic implementation of artificial intelligence across the entire ERGO Group, while continuing in his position as CEO of ERGO NEXT in the United States.
Goldstein founded ERGO NEXT in 2016 as a US property and casualty insurer for small business owners, built around the company’s proprietary technology stack, Reinsurance News said.
ERGO noted the appointment underscores its intent to implement AI systematically along its value chain and across its markets, as Markus Rieß, CEO of ERGO Group AG, commented on the creation of the CAIO role.
