NSE shares slip 1.4% after debut, investors urged to stagger buys

After listing on BSE at ₹1,800, the stock is trading at ₹1,792 and SAMCO Securities says buying can be split into larger tranches as declines occur.

National Stock Exchange (NSE) shares fell 1.4% to ₹1,792 on BSE on Friday, September 25, after rising nearly 2% in the prior session, according to LiveMint Markets.

NSE shares debuted on BSE on Thursday at ₹1,800, which was a modest 0.84% premium to the issue price of ₹1,785, the outlet said.

LiveMint Markets said investors with a long term view may want to use a gradual accumulation approach rather than trying to time a single entry point, citing advice from Apurva Sheth, Head of Market Perspectives and Research at SAMCO Securities.

The strategy described involves buying progressively larger amounts if the price declines, with an example that an investor would buy 100 shares at ₹1,700 and then add 200 shares if the stock falls to ₹1,600.
