X seeks to recover £207,384 over alleged creator network

X is asking for £207,384 in a legal bid to recover payments it says were improperly earned through a coordinated account network on the platform, even when the broader subject is Bitcoin, CryptoSlate reports.

In its Sept. 17 lawsuit, X accuses Vivek Kumar Sen and Zamyang Sherpa, along with unidentified operators, of running an account network that manipulated engagement to collect creator payments, according to CryptoSlate.

The case centers on Xs creator payment program, where eligible creators are paid for attracting an audience, with views from paying subscribers contributing to earnings, the outlet reports.

CryptoSlate frames the dispute as a fight over whether manufactured popularity could end up funding the very behavior X wants to remove from users feeds.
