Rubbish station worker in China goes viral after modelling talent is found
A 20-year-old woman in eastern China who collects and sorts rubbish gained online fame after her modelling abilities were noticed by Lu Xianren, a self-made “village supermodel,” according to SCMP Economy.
The woman, identified by the alias Chaoren Leng, helps manage her boyfriend’s father’s rubbish collection business in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, and she was born Leng Minghui in a village in Fuyang in eastern Anhui province.
Internet users paid close attention after videos shared last year showed her at a refuse collection station, where her appearance stood out against her work clothes and the refuse around her, the outlet said.
SCMP Economy reports that her attention first surged in July last year, driven by viewers reacting to her tall and slim figure and small facial features often seen as favourable in modelling.
