B2Gold finds new high-grade gold zone at Goose mine in Nunavut
Drillhole 26GSE750Z2 intercepted 9.95 metres grading 10.94 grams of gold per tonne at the newly named Tattuk zone.
B2Gold has discovered a new high-grade gold zone at its Goose mine in Nunavut, as the operation continues its recovery from an April crusher fire and remains on track for this year’s production forecast, Mining.com reports.
According to B2Gold, drillhole 26GSE750Z2 cut 9.95 metres grading 10.94 grams of gold per tonne from about 1,196 metres depth in the newly named Tattuk zone, roughly 150 metres down-plunge from existing Nuvuyak mineralization.
The company said the discovery could support future resource additions, and that other drilling at Goose returned results including 21.23 metres grading 19.12 grams of gold at Llama, and 6.9 metres grading 11.88 grams of gold at Nuvuyak.
B2Gold also noted that its infill work is increasing confidence in resources that could eventually be incorporated into the mine plan, citing its 2026 Back River gold district exploration program and contributions from drilling at the Llama deposit and Nuvuyak structure.
