Bitcoin dips below $83,000 as US-Iran strike risk weighs
BTC is still up more than 40% for Q3, even as it trades below $83,000 ahead of upcoming inflation and jobs data.
Bitcoin fell below $83,000 at the start of the week as developments related to a potential US-Iran strike pushed sentiment lower, according to Cointelegraph. The outlet said BTC/USD reached one-week lows after the previous weekly close.
Cointelegraph reported that BTC remains up more than 40% for Q3 despite the near-term pullback, with the move framed around the lead-up to the Q3 candle close. It also pointed to nearby resistance that is capping upside.
The article added that Bitcoin saw additional downside pressure alongside US stock market futures in anticipation of fresh US strikes on Iran. Cointelegraph also noted that upcoming key inflation and jobs data are part of what investors are watching next.
