China extends US trade truce to January 10, 2027

China’s Commerce Ministry said the US and Chinese officials confirmed an extension to their bilateral trade truce, pushing the expiration date from November 10 to January 10, 2027, as reported by FXStreet.

The ministry also said the US coal import arrangement is intended to complement China’s domestic market and provide stable economic returns and jobs for US industry.

China and the US agreed to form an agricultural working group, with the first meeting expected before the end of 2026, and to establish communication for AI incidents, the outlet added.
