A survey conducted for Sentry Insurance by Wakefield Research finds C-suite leaders say the business environment has become more volatile and complex since the start of 2026. The results show 82% of executives reporting greater concern about their businesses’ futures.

The executives cited growing worries ranging from supply chain and logistics challenges to economic pressures, tariffs and trade uncertainty, and labor shortages. Workforce strain is also a factor, with executives saying businesses are asking employees to do more with less.
