Potential U.S. diesel export limits could add 30 cents per gallon

Goldman Sachs strategists project the restriction could lift domestic retail gasoline prices by about $0.30 per gallon.

MarketWatch reports that Goldman Sachs strategists estimate potential restrictions on U.S. diesel exports would likely push up domestic retail gasoline prices.

In their view, the added cost would be about $0.30 per gallon for consumers at the retail level.

The analysis is based on how tighter diesel export flows could translate into higher gasoline pricing inside the United States, according to the MarketWatch summary.
