BMS Group names Paul Sheriff as Group CFO

Sheriff is set to take over in November 2026, succeeding Charlie Rozes.

BMS Group, an independent global insurance and reinsurance broker, announced the appointment of Paul Sheriff as Group Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director.

The company said Sheriff will succeed Charlie Rozes in November 2026. Rozes will leave the group after nearly two years, following a succession planning process.

BMS Group added that Sheriff will be based in London and report to Nick Cook, the group’s CEO. The broker also said Sheriff joins from NewDay, where he most recently served as CFO and Chief Operating Officer.

According to the announcement, Sheriff previously held CFO and COO roles at Legatum, Record plc, and Arbuthnot Banking Group plc, and the CEO described his background as including more than 30 years of experience in financial services and private equity expertise.
