Euler ILS Partners signs multi-year deal with Moody’s for catastrophe analytics

The agreement gives Euler access to Moody’s Intelligent Risk Platform, including catastrophe and cyber risk models and related exposure datasets.

Euler ILS Partners, a Swiss investment manager focused on insurance-linked securities, has signed a multi-year agreement with Moody’s to use its catastrophe risk models, analytics, and exposure datasets. The deal is designed to support Euler’s underwriting, portfolio management, and decision-making across ILS opportunities, according to Artemis.

Under the arrangement, Euler will access Moody’s software and services via its Moody’s Intelligent Risk Platform. Euler will be able to use both natural catastrophe and cyber risk models and analytics, along with specialized peril and exposure datasets, to evaluate risk and inform its ILS investment decisions across global markets.

Moody’s has been developing and evolving its catastrophe risk models for more than 30 years, with investments in model development, climate research, exposure analytics, and event response capabilities, Artemis reported. The outlet said Moody’s tools have backed many catastrophe bond and ILS transactions over the years.
