HDI Global Belgium launches aviation underwriting team for Benelux and Europe
The new Brussels team, led by Stijn Keppens, will underwrite areas ranging from business aviation to unmanned aerial vehicles.
HDI Global Belgium, the Belgian business of international insurer HDI Global, has created a dedicated Aviation underwriting team to serve brokers and clients across the Benelux and Southern European markets, the company said.
The team is based in Brussels and led by Stijn Keppens, and it sits within HDI Global’s Specialty aviation business as part of the firm’s Aviation Centre of Excellence.
According to the insurer, the underwriting activities will cover general aviation, including private and business aviation, flying clubs, flight schools, helicopter operations, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
HDI Global said the team will also support businesses involved in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, as well as airfields, hangarkeepers, and other associated aviation risks, with the regional structure designed to meet specialist aviation broker requirements.
