World Bank approves $300 million grant for Tajikistan’s Rogun Dam
The June approval is the project’s second round of World Bank funding, following a $350 million grant approved in December 2024.
Construction on Tajikistan’s Rogun Dam project has moved forward over the past year, helping address doubts about its viability that had emerged last summer, according to OilPrice.
In June, the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors approved a $300 million grant for the Rogun Dam, described as the project’s second round of funding.
The latest approval comes after a $350 million grant was approved for the project in December 2024, OilPrice reported.
