Core PCE inflation seen at 3.0% for August in Fed’s preferred gauge
CNBC reports that the Fed’s preferred inflation measure, the personal consumption expenditures price index, is projected to show core inflation at 3.0% for August.
The same Dow Jones consensus call projects an annual increase of 3.7% for headline PCE and 3.3% for core PCE.
