FlyDubai flight to Israel diverts to Saudi after cockpit incident

A FlyDubai flight traveling from Dubai to Israel made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday after an incident inside the cockpit, raising brief concerns about a possible hijacking, according to SCMP Economy citing reporting from the Associated Press.
Israeli media, citing security officials, said the incident was linked to a dispute between the plane’s two pilots, and that all passengers and crew were safe.
The plane landed in Tabuk, a civilian and military base in the kingdom, and Israel scrambled warplanes as the situation unfolded, SCMP Economy reported.
A regional official told the outlet that a fight broke out in the cockpit and involved pilots, with the cause not immediately determined, the report said.
