Fuse launches Environmental & Waste hub for waste risk market signals

The hub is built to synthesize pricing, capacity, appetite, and regulatory and litigation signals across multiple waste and environmental risk lines.

Fuse International, an AI-native commercial insurance intelligence platform, launched an Environmental and Waste hub designed to give brokers, carriers, and reinsurers a single view of where pricing, capacity, and appetite are heading in the waste risk market, Coverager reports.

The hub is intended to consolidate multiple inputs that are often scattered, including rate and rule filings, regulatory actions related to PFAS treatment, litigation and verdict trends, fleet and workplace safety signals, and carrier appetite shifts reflected through filings and underwriting decisions.

Coverager also notes that the platform links different exposures across insurance lines, with collection fleets tied to auto and workers compensation exposure, and landfills and recycling facilities tied to property and pollution exposure, while regulatory changes affecting PFAS can drive long-tail environmental liability.

Fuse pointed to worker safety as an example of the types of signals the hub brings together, citing Bureau of Labor Statistics data that refuse and recyclable material collectors had a fatality rate of 37.4 per 10,000 workers.
