Afore and Ascent form referral alliance for private business coverage
The alliance is structured as cross-referrals, with neither firm paying referral compensation and both continuing to operate independently.
Insurance Business reports that Afore Insurance Services and Ascent Insurance Advisors have launched a referral alliance targeting private business owners with coverage needs that span both commercial insurance and life insurance planning.
Under the arrangement, each firm refers clients to the other. The firms say neither provides referral compensation and that both will continue operating independently.
Afore, an Alpharetta, Georgia-based brokerage with more than 20 offices nationwide, said its business includes commercial property and casualty, personal lines, and group employee benefits such as health, group life, and voluntary coverage.
Ascent, based in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, focuses on high-end life insurance for estate planning, including buy-sell agreement funding, estate liquidity, and key-person protection, areas that often run across decades rather than annual renewals.
