Afore and Ascent launch referral alliance for business owner clients
The arrangement links Afore's commercial lines and employee benefits expertise with Ascent's life insurance and wealth transfer planning for clients with needs across both areas.
Insurance Business reports that Afore Insurance Services and Ascent Insurance Advisors have formed a referral alliance focused on private business owners whose insurance needs span both commercial lines and life insurance planning.
Under the referral arrangement, each firm refers clients to the other, without compensating the other for referrals, and both companies continue operating independently.
Afore, based in Alpharetta, Georgia with more than 20 offices nationwide, is described as handling commercial property and casualty, personal lines, and group employee benefits, including health, group life, and voluntary coverage.
Ascent, based in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, is described as designing and placing high-end life insurance for estate planning, including coverage elements tied to buy-sell agreements, estate liquidity, and key-person protection.
