Allianz shifts leadership roles at Allianz Partners and Allianz Direct

The changes are set to take effect on 1 November 2026, subject to regulatory approval.

Allianz Group is changing leadership at Allianz Partners and Allianz Direct as part of its Connected Platforms approach, according to Reinsurance News. The group said the moves are intended to provide continuity across both businesses and support their respective growth plans.

The CEO of Allianz Direct, Philipp Kroetz, will become CEO of Allianz Partners and succeed Tomas Kunzmann, after Kunzmann’s appointment to the Allianz SE Board of Management. Laurent Floquet, currently Chief Operating Officer of Allianz Partners, will take over as CEO of Allianz Direct.

All appointments are subject to regulatory approval and are scheduled to take effect on 1 November 2026. Allianz has not yet named a successor to Floquet as Chief Operating Officer of Allianz Partners.
