Aon rolls out a professional liability risk analyzer for law firms
The tool draws on Aon’s 30-year lawyers’ professional liability claims database, then simulates loss probability and severity.
Aon has launched a Professional Liability Risk Analyzer designed to help law firms quantify potential losses and evaluate how different insurance structures would respond. Coverager reports that the analyzer combines firm-specific exposure data and historical loss experience, using proprietary modeling based on Aon’s 30-year lawyers’ professional liability claims database.
The tool simulates the probability and severity of potential losses, then applies different insurance structures to show how retentions, limits, and coverage could perform. It also helps firms identify where policy limits may be exhausted, assess accumulated retained losses, and compare the cost and protection of alternative program designs.
Aon said the analyzer is part of its broader Risk Analyzer suite, and it plans to expand the approach to other professional services sectors, including accounting and consulting firms. The launch comes after Aon expanded its Data Center Lifecycle Insurance Program to $5 billion in capacity in July 2026, according to Coverager.
