Bunge and ABP pass 1 million tonnes at Port of Immingham hub
The partnership, launched in 2022, expanded with Shed 36 to lift total storage capacity to about 75,000 tonnes.
Bunge and Associated British Ports (ABP) have handled more than 1 million tonnes of grains and oilseeds through their operations at the Port of Immingham since their partnership began in 2022, according to World Grain.
The arrangement combines ABP’s port infrastructure with Bunge’s sourcing, processing, merchandising, and logistics network, supporting imports of feed ingredients and connecting growers in the Humber region to global markets, the outlet reported.
World Grain said the collaboration started in 2022 with the commissioning of Shed 35, and then expanded after strong demand with Shed 36.
The development of Shed 36 increased the site’s total storage capacity to approximately 75,000 tonnes, helping make the terminal one of the largest agribulk handling hubs in the Humber region, World Grain reported.
