Ocean Re Group, an insurance and reinsurance company, has appointed Pedro Pinzón as Chief Risk Officer in a newly created position focused on strengthening risk oversight across its international operations, according to Reinsurance News.

Pinzón will lead the company’s enterprise-wide risk management framework, with responsibilities including overseeing how risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and mitigated across the organization.

The appointment also calls for working alongside Ocean Re Group’s executive leadership team to reinforce its risk management culture and support strategic decision-making.

Reinsurance News said Pinzón brings experience across risk management, underwriting, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and capital management, and the company described the move as part of building its senior leadership structure to support its longer-term strategy.
