Trump says South Korea US deal adds $8.4 billion enhanced oil recovery project

Trump said the updated agreement would cover an enhanced oil recovery project worth $8.4 billion, but South Korea disputed the claim.

President Donald Trump said South Korea’s investment agreement with the United States now includes an $8.4 billion enhanced oil recovery project.

OilPrice reports that Trump linked the project to increased oil and gas output and energy security language in his remarks.

According to the report, Seoul said it had agreed to no such thing, disputing Trump’s claim about the deal terms.
