U.S. sanctions target A7, a Moscow firm used to move funds
The U.S. imposed sanctions on A7, a Russia-based firm, after reports described how it helps some clients sidestep economic restrictions. The firm reportedly uses shell companies around the world to move funds.
According to The New York Times, the shell-company approach is used to route money for clients that themselves are subject to sanctions.
