WTCA leases 2,556 square feet at One World Trade Center
The lease marks WTCA's return to One World Trade Center after a 25-year absence.
The World Trade Centers Association has signed a lease to bring its headquarters presence back to One World Trade Center, Commercial Observer reports. The organization, which bought the rights to the World Trade Center name in the 1980s, is re-establishing its global headquarters at the campus after 25 years away.
WTCA will occupy 2,556 square feet on the 46th floor of the Durst Organization's building, according to the report. The length of the lease and the names of the brokers were not disclosed.
Commercial Observer also notes that the asking rent for the tower was in the high $80s to $90s per square foot as of July. WTCA board chair John Drew said the move is a meaningful homecoming and a milestone tied to the organization's growth, and that the new office space provides a global address.
