CFTC approval could expand advisors direct Bitcoin access

Coinbase executive Ryan VanGrack said proposed SEC custody rules may make it easier for investment advisors to help clients own Bitcoin directly, alongside continued growth for Bitcoin ETFs.

Bitcoin Magazine featured Coinbase executive Ryan VanGrack discussing how CFTC approval could expand access for Bitcoin in advisory channels, describing it as opening “many doors” for the market.

He said proposed SEC custody rules could make it easier for investment advisors to help clients own Bitcoin directly, rather than relying only on fund wrappers.

VanGrack also argued that ETFs and direct Bitcoin holding can both grow, saying clearer rules tend to attract institutional capital into areas where compliance is better understood.

The segment additionally described traditional finance as accelerating its push into Bitcoin and digital assets, according to Bitcoin Magazine.
