Dollar hits 18-month high as bitcoin holds near $86,000

CoinDesk reports a firmer dollar and higher bond yields are pressuring bitcoin, while euro weakness tied to France fiscal concerns and Spain political uncertainty also weighs on sentiment.

A stronger U.S. dollar and rising bond yields are challenging bitcoin’s resilience, even as the cryptocurrency holds near $86,000, according to CoinDesk.

CoinDesk said the dollar’s move is also being accompanied by euro pressures, with fiscal concerns in France and political uncertainty in Spain weighing on the currency.
