Industrial leasing totaled 14.6 million square feet in Q3 2026, up 66% from the prior quarter.
Houston’s industrial market accelerated in the third quarter of 2026, posting its strongest quarterly leasing activity in more than four years, according to market research from Cushman & Wakefield as cited by ConnectCRE.
Industrial leasing totaled 14.6 million square feet during Q3, up 66% from the previous quarter, and it marked the highest quarterly leasing volume since Q1 2022.
The quarter also delivered industrial net absorption of 7.3 million square feet, the strongest quarterly performance since Q1 2023.
Office leasing remained ahead of last year’s pace despite elevated vacancy, the research said, while year-to-date industrial leasing reached 32.7 million square feet, equal to 97% of the 33.8 million square feet recorded during all of 2025.
