India’s Nifty and Sensex rise after Monday pullback rally
Nifty 50 ended up 134 points, while BSE Sensex gained 473 points, with FMCG and Capital Markets leading and Healthcare the biggest decliner.
India’s benchmark Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex ended higher on Monday after a pullback rally, with mid- and small-cap stocks participating alongside the indexes, indicating broader buying, according to LiveMint Markets.
The Nifty 50 gained 134 points and finished near 22,550, after an intraday dip to around the 22,400 area, while the Sensex rose 473 points. Vaishali Parekh, Vice President of Technical Research at Prabhudas Lilladher, said the market bias improved after the recovery.
Parekh highlighted near-term support for the Nifty 50 in the 22,200 to 22,300 zone. Sector-wise, FMCG and Capital Markets outperformed, each rising more than 1.5%, while the Healthcare index fell more than 1%.
