Jeffrey Archer dies at 86, HarperCollins says
Former British politician and novelist Jeffrey Archer has died at age 86, according to a statement from his publisher, HarperCollins.
HarperCollins said Archer died peacefully at his home on Monday, between writing sessions.
Archer served as a Conservative MP for five years and later became the party’s deputy chairman, the publisher added.
HarperCollins also said the bestselling author sold more than 300 million copies worldwide, and his final novel, Adam and Eve, is expected to be published this month.
