LNG transits at the Strait of Hormuz rise despite renewed shipment threats
Tanker-traffic data compiled by Bloomberg and Kpler show at least three LNG carriers transited outbound since the end of last week, extending September's rebound.
LNG traffic at the Strait of Hormuz appears to be ticking up despite increased threats to shipments through the chokepoint in recent days, according to OilPrice.
At least three LNG carriers have transited the Strait of Hormuz outbound since the end of last week, based on tanker-traffic data compiled by Bloomberg and Kpler.
The increase in LNG shipments extends the rebound in transits in September, even as recent days have brought heightened concerns for shipping in the area.
OilPrice noted that the flows are still down more than 75% compared with earlier levels, even with the recent uptick.
